Book Club and Speaking Information
I’m delighted to do book club appearances within a 100-mile radius of Augusta, Georgia or I’ll drop in on your meeting via speakerphone.
Here are some suggestions to make your book club meetings lively.
A Dollar Short: Bottom Dollar Girls Go Hollywood
Refreshments: Gummy Bears, Godiva chocolate, carob cookies, veggie pizza
Favors: Tabloid magazines of any type!
Attire: Tiaras
Bet Your Bottom Dollar
Refreshments: chess pie, oatmeal cookies, buttermilk biscuits, donuts, RC Cola
Favors: Anything from the dollar store! Have everyone bring a wrapped dollar store item and then have someone pick from the stack of “gifts. The next person can “steal” the gift or choose from the pile.
Speaking Information
Karin will appear as the “Dollar Store Diva” and give a very entertaining presentation on how she came to write her novel, differences between the North and the South and the culture of small Southern towns. She’ll also quiz the audience and give away dollar store prizes.
Presentations within a 25-mile radius of Augusta do not require an honorarium as long as books can be sold after the event. Karin will do out-of-town presentations as long as her expenses (hotel, gas, meals) are covered.
